Solutions for Payment Processing Hardware & Accessories

At the center of any digital payment processing software is a good point-of-sale (POS) system. In the olden days, a POS system was a simple cash register. Eventually, those cash registers turned into electric registers that could do basic computing; which later evolved into the modern-style Cloud POS System that we have grown accustomed to seeing. Typically, a standard POS is a tablet loaded with software and a device to swipe credit cards. On this page, we will take a brief look at the hardware and accessory options currently available for Sky Systemz merchants.

Sky Tablets

Sky Systemz’ most popular option for a physical POS is an iPad placed on a stand. While Sky currently only stocks iPad POS systems, Android tablets are compatible. This option provides mobility, should you not need a totally stationary device. Tablets from Sky are preloaded with the Sky Systemz app and set up with your personalized account. A limitation to a tablet POS, is that an external card reader is required to process in-person credit card transactions.

Sky Terminal

Coming Q3 2022, is Sky Terminal. Sky Terminal is an all-in-one device that is a handheld POS, or customer facing unit, linked to your tablet and card reader.

BYOD - Bring Your Own Device

Want to use your own device? Of course you can! It’s easy to download the Sky Systemz app from the App Store or Google Play Store for a tablet or mobile phone. However, Sky cannot guarantee the functionality of your personal, mobile devices. We have a list of tested and approved mobile devices , if you would like to check your existing equipment’s compatibility. Laptop and desktop users are able to log into our Web POS platform which works on most browsers and devices. The only drawback to using your own device is that Sky cannot troubleshoot personal devices if the issue is determined to not be directly related to the Sky Systemz app.

Card Readers

Card readers are credit card swipes that connect to your POS, mobile device or computer through WiFi, Bluetooth or wired connection. Sky currently has multiple options for card readers ranging from pocket-sized portable devices for when you are in the field or a more traditional stationary device. Prices range from $100 - $400, based on model and functionality.

Accessories

Sky offers a plethora of approved accessories that are compatible with the Sky app and hardware. These include a cash drawer to hold change for cash payments, scanning gun to scan barcodes associated with products stored in your POS, thermal printers & paper, POS stands and accessories like chargers, cables and adapters.

Next Steps

So, if you’re a medium-sized business looking for an affordable POS, digital payments and business services, look no further than Sky Systemz. Our Operationz & Business Management Suites of software are versatile and can handle all of your products, services, inventory, and merchant preferences. Not only do we provide the most versatile software available on the market, but we also offer “Pass the Fee" built right into your dashboard. Passing the fee allows your customers to pay credit card processing fees, instead of cutting into your bottom line. This is optional, but almost half of Sky merchants utilize this feature. If passing the fee is not for you, we still offer the lowest rates in the industry. If you process at least $20k a month, we are willing to negotiate custom pricing.

At Sky, we’d like to offer a 30-day challenge! Sign up for free with no contracts or commitments. If after 30 days you aren’t satisfied with our software, services or rates, no hard feelings! You can simply let us know you’d like to discontinue services, but we don’t think you’ll want to switch back!
